Our puppy classes and behavioural consultations are based on the individual dog and owner. We don't do it by the book! We encourage each dog and owner to work at their own pace. The welfare of the dog is the primary consideration. All training methods are positive and reward based, and are owner friendly.

Training and behaviour modification is not based upon "pack leadership" theory. This erroneous and unproven Dominance Theory theory has confused owners and their dogs for far too long.

Please bear in mind that training a dog and changing behaviour takes time and patience.  Dogs don't understand how to learn in the same way that we do, and there will need to be lots and lots of repetition.  It takes roughly a year to eighteen month to gain the control that most people want - but every dog has different limitations according to age, breed, past experiences and invidual character.

PUPPY SOCIALISATION (FAMILIARISATION), TRAINING & BEHAVIOUR CLASSES

(For puppies from 12 weeks - when vaccinations are complete and an all clear is given by your vet)

It's not just training! All aspects of your puppy's behaviour are addressed, including housetraining, biting/nipping, children and dogs, jumping up, etc., and a range of other topics that enable puppy and owners to live together in harmony.

Puppy classes are structured and controlled. Boisterous free play is not encouraged as this can lead to behavioural problems later. Puppy training can still be fun without the need for wild uncontrolled behaviour.
