RELIEVING STRESS AND ANXIETY WITH A D.A.P.

DOG APPEASING PHEROMONE

All dogs are different in character, regardless of breed. Just like people, dogs can be relaxed happy characters, or nervous and anxious by nature.

There are many reasons why a dog can suffer from stress. Puppies who leave their mothers at eight weeks, can have difficulty settling in their new homes, without their litter brothers and sisters, and of course their mothers.

Most puppies go to their new homes around the age of eight weeks and this is the time of development where the puppy may be going through a “fear period” when he will be more cautious and worried about every day noises, or strangers who visit the house.

Dogs that are afraid of thunder, fireworks and other similar loud or sudden noises are obviously under stress, and fear of noise can develop into complicated phobias, if not helped.

The first few weeks of a Puppy Training, Socialisation and Behavioural workshops can be daunting for some young puppies when they first attend.

Some dogs and puppies can have difficulties when travelling, and can be fearful about travelling, which can take months to overcome.

Rehoming can be a particularly stressful time older dogs too. Many dogs are given up to rescue organisations, because their owners never learned how to cope with the behaviour of a young, adult dog.

Separation Anxiety problems such as destructiveness, vocalisation and house are all indications of fear related issues.

All these problems and others can be helped by using the DAP, (Dog Appeasing Pheromone) either as a diffuser or as a spray.

To find out more about the DAP click here to download a pdf leaflet about the DAP Spray.
